In the law, fire prevention at work is divided into six themes:<\/span><\/div>\n

In addition, the law states that you as an employer must draw up a general fire prevention<\/strong> policy. That comes down to:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Prevent fire<\/strong>
    \nYou are obliged to set up a firefighting service, regardless of the number of employees in your company. This service has the task of avoiding the emergence of a fire, facilitating evacuation and extinguishing or controlling a starting fire.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Ensure safety and evacuate quickly<\/strong>
    \nYour building must be equipped with a number of evacuation routes, (emergency) exits and evacuation plans.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Combat fire quickly and efficiently
    \n<\/strong>You must provide equipment that allows the detection, detection, extinguishing, limiting of harmful effects and facilitating the intervention of the emergency services.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Restrict harmful consequences<\/strong>
    \nThis relates to the construction of your buildings.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n

    Each employer must draw up an internal emergency plan<\/a> containing procedures relating to the tasks of the fire service, the evacuation of persons, evacuation exercises, the use of protective equipment and the informing and training of personnel.<\/span><\/p>\n
